(More customer reviews)Took these bags on a month long bicycle tour.They are definitely waterproof.They attach and de-attach easily.Good sturdy straps and clips.I appreciate the reflecting strips as well.The only negative thing I have to say about them is that the waterproof sheet that covers the bags is easily torn.I bumped into a curb and two little pieces were torn off.
